Application and Registration Process

Please note that it can take up to eight weeks to process, interview and register new volunteers.

1.  Complete an application package (application form and two references) by email.
A complete application includes:          

  • Volunteer Application and Reference Form     
    • two completed references
    • references must have a professional relationship with the applicant (co-worker, supervisor, coach, teacher) and not a personal one (family member, neighbour)

2.  Attend an interview to examine your interests in volunteering.         
Note that all applications are reviewed, but due to the volume of applications we receive, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

3.  If you are offered a placement, you will:           

  • Complete an immunization/health record form (including a two-step TB test)
  • Attend a volunteer orientation session
  • Additional training sessions may be required
