COVID-19 Update for Bridgepoint Family Health Team Patients

Posted on Wednesday March 18, 2020

Dear Bridgepoint FHT Community,

To keep everyone safe and still provide care, we are taking measures to try to limit any potential exposure to COVID-19.

PLEASE DO NOT DROP INTO OUR CLINIC WITHOUT CALLING FIRST.

We may be able to address your health concern without you coming into the clinic!

We will be conducting screening over the phone and on check-in. Visits that can be done by phone will be booked accordingly. Morning appointments will be reserved for those needing in-person assessments such as prenatal care, well baby visits, immunizations, diabetes care.

Patients who are sick will be assessed via phone and as needed, booked in the afternoon or at end of day.

PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU HAVE TRAVELLED, HAVE A FEVER, COUGH, HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO ANYONE WITH COVID 19, OR HAVE BEEN CONTACTED DIRECTLY BY PUBLIC HEALTH.

If asked to come into the clinic, please ensure that you clean your hands with sanitizer on arrival, and if you have a cough - put on a mask.

Toronto Public Health has recommended that anyone who has travelled outside of Canada, self-isolate for 14 days even if you have no symptoms. Please visit this link for more information.

At  present, if you are sick with routine cold symptoms, please use this self- assessment tool. You may also call us if you have more questions.

TEMPORARILY, SATURDAY CLINICS ARE NO LONGER DROP-IN

and are reserved for urgent medical issues needing physical examination.  PLEASE call 416-470-6690 starting at 8:45am and we will phone you back to schedule an assessment.

For reliable and up to date information on COVID-19, please visit the Public Health Ontario website.

We recommend you maintain social distancing, limit your interaction with others, and avoid large groups. Wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your face.

Take care of yourselves and each other!

Your Bridgepoint Family Health Team
