In addition, our Privacy Policy at Bridgepoint Health is based on the idea that individuals involved in a patient's 'circle of care' should have access only to as much information as they need to provide the best health care possible.
We collect information to support and ensure the best care
As a patient at Bridgepoint Health, we collect basic information (for example your name, address and date of birth) so that we will know who you are each time you visit Bridgepoint Health. We also collect information about the tests, procedures and other care you receive during your visits.
Information may be collected and stored in different ways, such as on your paper chart, as electronic files and as images. Each and every method of information collection and storage is bound by PHIPA and Bridgepoint’s Privacy Policy. This is your personal health information and it is protected by law.
We protect access to patient records
The people at Bridgepoint Health who provide patient care are allowed to see patient health information; however, their access is also carefully monitored. This group includes physicians, nurses, technicians, therapists, and other health professionals who provide your care.
Sometimes, we ask other health care organizations and health professionals for information about you if we require it for your care at Bridgepoint Health.
