Bridgepoint’s Palliative Care Program provides care to individuals in the end stages of terminal illness. All patients admitted to the Palliative Care Unit have a “do not resuscitate” status.
We believe in a holistic approach to care that includes support from a skilled inter-disciplinary team focused on meeting the patient's physical, psychosocial, spiritual and cultural needs. We provide a hospital-based level of care that cannot be provided by long-term care facilities or through community support. Care and support is extended not only to patients, but also to their family and friends.
For patients who wish to remain at home for as long as possible, applications are placed on a waiting list and are activated only when the individual is ready for admission.
