Mealtime Assistance Program (MAP)

Bridgepoint recognizes that eating is a key component of cultural, social and spiritual well-being.

It is in this spirit that the Mealtime Assistance Program (MAP) trains and supports volunteers to assist patients who are experiencing eating challenges as a result of their physical condition.

MAP volunteers do more than just feed patients. They also provide welcome social interaction that makes mealtimes more enjoyable and they are trained in strategies for safe eating to assist patients who may have swallowing difficulties.
