Redefining what a hospital can be

As part of our Life.Changes. campaign, we’re raising $40 million to build a new Bridgepoint Hospital that redefines what a hospital can be – going beyond the treatment of illness, to promote recovery and wellness.

Construction is now underway. Opening in 2013, this new 464-bed hospital at the corner of Broadview Avenue and Gerrard Street east in Toronto's vibrant Riverdale community is specifically designed to meet the complex care and complex rehabilitation needs of Bridgepoint’s patients.

Highlights of our new hospital include:

  • More spacious patient rooms with more privacy, improved infection control and increased space for medical equipment and bedside therapy;
  • Expanded rehabilitation facilities for in-patients and out-patients – including a therapeutic pool and specialized clinics;
  • Beautiful gardens for patients and the public to enjoy;
  • LEED-certified design that is more energy efficient and environmentally friendly than standard hospitals.
