Lynn McDonald worked for the Government of Ontario for 12 years where, as Deputy Minister and Executive Director, Office of the Premier and Cabinet Office, she was responsible for coordinating and bringing operational perspective to proposals developed for Cabinet consideration. Following this, Ms. McDonald spent 18 years at CIBC World Markets where as Managing Director she was responsible for structuring loans to large Canadian corporations.

Ms. McDonald currently serves as Treasurer of the Board of Governors of Frontier College, and she is also a member of the Frontier College Foundation Board. She is an independent trustee of Greystone Health Trust, an Ontario Hospital Association trust fund. She is a past member of the Board of Governors of Trent University, is past President of the Barbara Schlifer Commemorative Clinic, and is also a past member of the Ontario Public Sector Pension Advisory Board.

Ms. McDonald joined the Bridgepoint Health Foundation Board of Directors in 2006, and chairs the Foundation’s Finance and Audit Committee.
