John Sherrington is Vice-Chairman of Scotia Capital. He has been a leading Canadian investment banker for more than 35 years, advising a broad range of major corporations on capital market and M&A activities.

Mr. Sherrington is active in the philanthropic community: Director and Past Chair of the Children's Aid Foundation; Governor of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Charter for Business; Member of the Executive Committee of the Ontario Chapter, Institute of Corporate Directors; Governor of the Canadian Centre For Diversity (formerly the Canadian Council of Christians and Jews); and former Board member of the Hospital and Foundation, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

Mr. Sherrington joined the Bridgepoint Health Foundation Board of Directors in June 2011.
